No. An early orthodontic evaluation is an opportunity to understand your child’s development, not a commitment to treatment.
Many children we evaluate will not need orthodontic treatment right away.
For those children, we can monitor how the permanent teeth erupt and how the bite and jaws develop over time. This gives parents reassurance that someone is keeping an eye on the things that matter while avoiding treatment before there is a clear reason for it.
If something changes as your child grows, we can identify it and discuss the appropriate timing together.
Every child’s development is different. If something here sounds familiar, the next step isn’t braces. It’s a conversation with Dr. Sharp.
