Don’t worry. Age 7 is a recommended time for an initial evaluation, not a deadline after which treatment becomes ineffective.
If your child is 8, 9, 10, 12 or older and has never seen an orthodontist, an evaluation can still determine what is developing normally, whether an orthodontic problem is present and when treatment would be most appropriate.
Every child’s development is different. If something here sounds familiar, the next step isn’t braces. It’s a conversation with Dr. Sharp.
